Account Manager

Implementing Prophet software solutions successfully at client locations within South Africa and potentially other geographical regions as required.

Areas of responsibility:

  • Must be able to understand clients’ business operations and how they can best use Prophet software.

  • Interpret client needs, plus configure and implement the software solutions to an agreed pre-defined blueprint.

  • Work to specific project plans and deadlines.

  • Liaise with the software development team to progress with customer-specific modifications.

  • Deliver end-user training and train the trainer.

  • Complete comprehensive documentation to a high standard, including configuration specifications, customer-specific process guides and training documentation.


Desired Skills & Experiences:


  • Experience of software implementation & training delivery.

    • Good Microsoft office skills (Word, Excel, Visio).

    • Working knowledge of Prophet systems especially QX.

    • Knowledge of the perishable food supply chain.


  • A clear communicator at all levels for presentations and training to clients.

  • Possess a flexible ‘can-do’ approach to work.

  • Must be able to travel and work away from home, including at short notice.

  • Comfortable working on own initiative and in unfamiliar environments.

  • Resilient and flexible.

  • Good planning and organising skills.

  • Having and maintaining a clean driver’s license.
