Prophet to sponsor Western Growers Association's new center

Prophet North America announces it is to sponsor the Western Growers Association's new Center for Innovation and Technology recently opened in downtown Salinas, California. Announcing the 3 year agreement Mick Heatherington VP Sales at Prophet states. “Not only are we delighted to be sponsoring this fantastic new center, we will be there to offer advice and assistance to anyone who wishes to use or avail of the facility and services.  We started as a very small business ourselves with just an idea and I have no doubt that many new and great concepts and businesses will be developed and launched via this brilliant initiative by Western Growers”.

The Center has been created to help identify industry priorities and to discover technologies to address those priorities, set up testing, facilitate industry feedback and communicate progress to California, Arizona and Colorado fresh produce farmers. The center will act as an incubation facility to any companies or startups that believe they have an idea or a developing product that can make a difference for the WGA members and the farmers, packers, distributors and any part of the Industry. The center opened for business on December 10 2015 and to find out more or get involved log onto www.wginnovation.com.
