Claremont Graduate University, California, 2019 GALA Conference

Prophet is delighted to hear that William Davis, a UK student who recently completed a fantastic placement within the business, secured a fully-funded academic trip to the USA. William, who is a Film, TV and Digital Production student at Bath Spa University, was invited to share his successful placement experience on the global stage at Claremont Graduate University, California, following his key role in supporting Prophet at its UK & Ireland User Conference and on a trip to Prophet South Africa.

Organized around the theme of networks, the 2019 GALA conference is designed to plumb the meaning of connectivity, partnership and collaboration, with a particular focus on what networks have meant in the past, what they mean today and what they will mean into the future to help guide the GALA network as it enters the second half of its first decade.

William said of the trip to Claremont Graduate University, ‘It was an absolute pleasure to speak at the 2019 GALA Conference about my experience working with Prophet.

I spoke to delegates across the world about the importance of cross-disciplinary collaborations and how important it is to gain global experience in a growingly competitive world. I emphasised the importance of giving students the opportunity to show their skills within the workplace, as it will give them the necessary experience and confidence in order to grow and excel both personally and academically.

Prophet opened the doors up for me into a world of international opportunities and careers which as a filmmaker and creative, is invaluable. I could not be more grateful for Prophet, which as a company, allowed me to demonstrate my capabilities in South Africa.’

Congratulations Will!
